Ros and I have worked together for 8 years. She bought an apartment in the village in 2008 and asked me to manage it for her and we embarked on a refurbishment project in 2008 encompassing a new floor, redesigned kitchen, new bathroom, and new furnishings. I continue to manage the house for her in terms of ongoing maintenance and managing the letting of the apartment to holiday makers. I also maintain a record of income/expenses to declare to the Spanish authorities.
Ros is a psychotherapist and in 2012 she asked me if I would take on the role of her administrator/PA to assist her with her busy private practice. Mainly I ensure that invoices are sent to the clients, and payment is received, and I maintain a record of all Ros’s income ready to pass on to the accountant in order to submit the annual tax return.
I have assisted Ros in the production of the latest edition of one of her books, by updating the bibliography, which involved a lot of research, searches etc… in order to identify relevant, new material.
In addition I also assist Ros with the organisation of training events for professionals in the helping professions that have been taking place twice a year for the last 2 years. The numbers attending the 2016 training event for example are 30 for the first 2 day events and 40 for the second of the two day events. This involves a lot of liaison with the participants, ensuring fees are paid, receipts issued, joining instructions sent, and paperwork for during the actual event.
