The tale of the telly…
This tale involves two mobile phones, a new television and fate… Our very good friend Jamie who has a house in the village (but lives in the UK) decided he fancied a new TV for when he and the family are here for the month of August, so he duly ordered a very large new TV courtesy of Amazon.es and he informed Jack that it would arrive either last Thursday or Friday, which would have worked well, since Rachel (wife of Jamie) and Jamie’s sisters just happened to be here. It all sounds good so far. Thursday and Friday passed by. No telly. On Monday Jamie said the telly will arrive on Tuesday, well that was ok too as Julie (sister of Jamie) was in the house, so help was on hand. Fab. So what happened? What happened was, that on Friday night Jack bounced his phone off the unforgiving streets in the village and smashed the screen (cue new phone), it works to receive calls but not to make one, and you can’t see a darned thing on the screen. So on Monday evening I went out for around 45 minutes and forgot to take my phone… And during the time I was AWOL the MRW driver calls my phone telling Jack, who answered it, that the telly had arrived. Jack went up to meet him, cussing me for having left my phone because he couldn’t contact me or anyone else to help him… So Jack receives this enormous telly, but can’t do anything other than sit in the bus stop on the main road waiting to figure out what to do. Should he leave the telly, go for help, or sit there and hope someone went by… As luck would have it someone he knew did pass by and they managed to get this heavy, large telly down past the getting it down to the house even more of a challenge. Oh boy, was I in trouble. I got back, Sarah said to me, Jack has a story. Oh yes, he most certainly did, I’m still in the dog house for not taking my phone with me. I’d like to say it doesn’t happen often, but I would be telling a big fat lie. Anyway, I have not included a picture of the offending telly but one of Jack with a lovely dog (Neo) we met this week, and we all got a cuddle. The other picture is of Neo at the top of Monte Pecho after dragging Sarah and I up there! We followed the dog that’s for sure… The new phone arrives this week, they say, can’t wait for the fun and games that a new phone brings to one’s life.
street works that made
Wow, what a cutie! Neo I mean, sorry Jack. I’d follow him up Monte Pecho anyday
