A day to Málaga is never complete unless…
Unless you go to Ikea. Oh boy, how sad is that. We had to make the trip to Málaga this morning to take Sarah to start her next adventure (in the UK), which involved dropping her off at the airport. After the hugs and kisses were over, we headed to Ikea which is a stone’s throw away. To be fair I was going to buy something for someone else, plus get something for us too, but not much… Ha! I felt myself getting drawn to some rather fetching cushion covers and before I knew it, one was in the cart thing. Luckily my husband spotted it and asked me exactly where I thought the cushion cover would go? So I reluctantly put the cushion cover back…Saved from myself by someone who luckily doesn’t succumb to the very powerful attraction of an Ikea display unit. Me, I can’t resist. I do hasten to add that I did buy the obligatory 3 smelly candles and a candle holder. I was not going home without a little something… My goodness those guys know how to draw you in. A coffee in the restaurant whilst you’re waiting for the store to open, the lure of all those pretty things in the shop, and then the shop at the other end, that you just have to have a quick look in. Luckily Jack did that and we agreed no cake, we need to lose a couple of kilos, so resisted. Ha!
On a totally separate note, on Saturday we went to the Sierra Nevada ski resort, just an hour and half away for a bit of a day out. Ski resort in July? Well, yes actually. It’s lovely there, the scenery reaching there is breath taking, and it’s cooler as it’s a pretty high altitude, and there are lots of places to walk, and it looks like a cyclists heaven, there were tons of them. Plus it’s a testing place for high end cars (BMW/Audi etc) they test their new cars up and down the mountain, all camouflaged up, no idea what the name of the car is. My question is, how can I get a job doing that…
My photo is of Veleta from the other side…and one of the beautiful scenery.
