We will be travelling from Suances, Cantabria, on the North coast of Spain to Almunécar on the Costa Tropical in Southern Spain. The grand adventure is accompanying Julia Chi Taylor, www.barefootacrossspain.com as she runs barefoot through Spain. And we will be supporting her! We start our trip on the 18th March when we leave home and travel up through Spain to reach the North coast ready to join Julia on the 22nd March, and ready for the grand start on the 23rd March. If all goes according to plan, we’ll reach Almunécar on the 12th May. I’m going to record our trip, from the preparation stage right through the whole journey. Which we believe is going to be one heck of an adventure! This iron man below is very close to the lighthouse in Suances where Julia will begin from, it seems fitting, an iron man for an iron woman challenge.

After living in Spain for a number of years and travelling a lot within Spain on holiday, we were very fortunate to spend two months travelling from Suances on the north coast to Almunecar on the south coast this year, taking two months to see the landscape. This is our tale and what happened afterwards back in our “normal” life…

Thank you so much to you and Jack for the amazing route planning and ‘somewhere to stay for the night’ planning! Not to mention also organising my friends!
